New DKTK Research Pillars and Ad-Hoc Working Groups (from 2024)
In response to evolving scientific landscapes and emerging opportunities, the DKTK has introduced two new Research Pillars starting in 2024 to strengthen its strategic positioning and address critical unmet needs in translational cancer research towards NCT. The pillars provide a framework for innovative collaborations across sites and disciplines and can include emerging fields such as cancer prevention research, computational oncology, large-scale single-cell multi-omics, and understudied cancers.
To advance these priorities, Ad-Hoc Working Groups (WGs) have been established – see the table below for the current list. Each WG is linked to one or both of the following pillars:
Pillar 1: Therapeutic Innovations (trial-enabling projects and activities)
Pillar 2: Diagnostic Innovations & Molecular Prevention (transfer-enabling projects and activities)
Participation is open to all interested researchers, both within and beyond the DKTK. Once registered, participants will be invited by the respective WG chairs to join regular meetings and will receive invitations to the annual DKTK Scientific Community Meeting for each pillar.
