MASIT Talk: "Metabolic reprogramming and cancer progression in patients" (Ralph DeBerardinis)

  • Address: Lecture Hall 706 , Mainz
  • Language: English
  • Registration necessary: Yes

Ralph DeBerardinis, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the Eugene McDermott Center for Human Growth and Development, Director of the Genetic & Metabolic Disease Program, Children’s Research Institute at UT Southwestern, Texas, will hold a talk about "Metabolic reprogramming and cancer progression in patients" at the upcoming Mainz Seminar in Translational Science (MASIT).

The DeBerardinis lab studies the role of altered metabolic pathways in human diseases, particularly cancer and inborn errors of metabolism. The lab uses metabolomics and isotope tracing to characterize disease-associated metabolic states in patients, and model systems to explore how metabolic perturbations contribute to tissue dysfunction.
