From 07.07.2020 to 09.07.2020

Starts at 11:30 until 13:15

Postponed: EACR DNA Damage Responses and Cancer 2020: Innovations from Radiobiology to Radiotherapy

Venue: Churchill College, Cambridge, England
Speaker: Several.
Organizer: EACR in collaboration with ESTRO
Language: English
Registration necessary: yes

*In the light of increasing international travel restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 the EACR has taken the decision to postpone the conference, which was to be held 30 March - 01 April 2020. It will now be held on the new dates of 07-09 July 2020 at the same venue in Cambridge, UK*

We aim to bring together researchers working on understanding DNA damage responses in the context of complex and dynamic cellular environments. The programme will address the challenges of understanding this complex field and will emphasise new experimental approaches for interrogating these pathways. We will also consider how recent advances can be exploited in the clinic.

Target audience

This conference will be relevant to participants from different fields of cancer research, including radiation biology, DNA damage responses, DNA repair, epigenetics, and cancer biology. We have created a programme that brings together basic scientists with translational and clinical researchers.  Given its translational character, the conference is also of interest for pharma companies. During the meeting, there will be great opportunities for young scientists to present their work and meet the experts in the field, and we aim to create an open and engaging environment for networking and discussion.

Topics to be covered

  • DNA damage responses
  • Epigenetic and metabolic impacts on DNA repair
  • Interplay between transcription and DNA repair
  • Immune responses in the context of DNA damage
  • Implications for radiotherapy
