To train a new generation of internationally competitive young data scientists and to further enhance the DKTK’s visibility and scientific impact in the increasingly important field of oncological real-world data based research, the DKTK announces its new internal fellowship program “Cancer Outcomes and Reverse Translation - Educate & Accelerate (CORTEX)” , in close cooperation with the DKTK Clinical Communication Platform (CCP), the DKTK Clinical Data Science Group and other partners.

The CORTEX fellowships provide a unique opportunity for talented Doctoral Researchers (PhD candidates) from the life sciences, (bio)informatics, and related fields, as well as clinician scientists with a strong interest in data-driven clinical oncology, to embark on research projects addressing topics from Reverse Translation, Outcome-Impacting Research, to Data Augmentation, and Cohort Preparation.

Designed to foster scientific excellence, this training program offers fellows up to three years of funding (PhD candidates) or one year of 50% funding (physicians on clinical leave).

The application period for the CORTEX Fellowship is now closed. We thank all applicants for their interest. All candidates will be informed about the outcome as soon as possible. Fellowships are planned to commence at the beginning of 2024. Further details and updates can be accessed via the DKTK intranet.
