MITO: Models in Translational Oncology

© MITO

A new database of preclinical models - Participate and benefit from sharing information and resources, support the 3R principle.

To faithfully recapitulate extremely heterogeneous cancer diseases, researchers use preclinical models ranging from tumor cells in culture over in vivo equivalents to various model organisms. MiTO aims to facilitate the exchange of standardized model data and biological resources to avoid double developments. Utilization of MiTO is an active contribution to the 3R principle (replace, refine, reduce animals in research) and represents a relevant animal welfare action.

DKTK BioDataHub

The DKTK BioDataHub serves as the central information and service platform for translational cancer research within the DKTK.

It provides researchers with cross-site, transparent access to relevant patient data and bio samples, forming the foundation for innovative scientific projects.

Acting as a bridge between clinical practice and research, the BioDataHub offers pseudonymized data and access to bio samples via a secure, federated IT infrastructure. Its aim is to support projects focused on developing new diagnostic approaches and personalized therapies in oncology.
