DKTK School of Oncology Young Academics Conference

The Young Academics Conference of the DKTK School of Oncology is an annual event that brings together early-career researchers from across the network of the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK). The conference aims to foster scientific exchange within the consortium, strengthen interdisciplinary networking, and provide young researchers with a platform to present and discuss their translational oncology projects in a collegial and inspiring environment.

The event offers Fellows of the School of Oncology a unique opportunity to connect with both peers and established experts from all DKTK partner sites [alternative: DKTK locations]. In addition to scientific presentations, the program includes workshops on research-related and career-oriented topics, poster sessions, and keynote lectures addressing current developments in cancer research.

Since 2022, the conference has been held in a hybrid format—in conjunction with the Postdoc Symposium of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg. This expanded format enables early-career researchers to participate either on-site or virtually and to actively contribute to exchange within the oncology community.
