DKTK Events
As part of its continuing education activities, the DKTK sites offer seminars, workshops, and conferences addressing the latest developments in clinical research and basic cancer research across all areas of oncology. All upcoming events can be found here.
For School of Oncology Fellows, we offer a wide range of events that can be credited toward the DKTK School of Oncology Performance Record.
These include the DKTK School of Oncology Tech Talks, the annual Young Academics Conference (YAC), the CCE Summer School in Translational Cancer Research, regular DKTK Partner Site Events, and various DZG Events.
DKTK Tech Talks
The DKTK School of Oncology Tech Talks are an online seminar series presented by DKTK scientists on the latest technologies in translational research, held several times per year. These sessions typically consist of a short presentation followed by an open discussion and Q&A session.
Young Academics Conference (YAC)
The Young Academics Conference (YAC), organized annually by the DKTK, provides a platform for in-person networking as well as exchange on methods and approaches in translational cancer research. Further information and an overview of previous YACs can be found here.
CCE Summer School Translational Cancer Research
The CCE Summer School in Translational Cancer Research brings together leading experts in cancer research with Clinician Scientists, doctoral candidates, and postdoctoral researchers on an annual basis.
Participation requires prior registration and is credited toward the Performance Record of the DKTK School of Oncology. Further information on the CCE Summer School can be found here.
DKTK Partner Site Events
The DKTK partner sites offer seminar series and workshops on a broad range of topics in translational cancer research. Further information is available on the respective websites of the partner sites.
Participation in these events is recognized within the Performance Record of the DKTK School of Oncology.
Workshops in bioinformatics
The DKTK School of Oncology and the Heidelberg Center for Human Bioinformatics (HD-HuB) of the German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure (de.NBI) offer bioinformatics workshops for researchers working with large datasets of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data derived from patient tumor samples. The courses provide background knowledge on the technologies used for data generation and data analysis. Commonly used tools for data interpretation are introduced and can be applied in hands-on sessions using provided datasets.
