Print PageDKTK Berlin: Prof. Schulte wins the Dr. Maresch-Klingelhöffer Research Prize 2016
Prof. Schulte is an oncologist who conducts research in the Pediatrics Department of Charité Medical Center, in the Oncology and Hematology Division at Campus Virchow-Klinikum in Berlin. He also conducts research within the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK) and the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH). His research paper looked at tumor evolution and its significance for personalized cancer medicine, using the example of neuroblastoma, a very frequent type of childhood cancer.
The Frankfurter Stiftung für krebskranke Kinder has been awarding the Dr. Maresch-Klingelhöffer Research Prize since 2008. It comes with prize money of EUR 10,000 and is awarded to the best paper by emerging researchers working in research fields in the area of pediatric oncology and hematology.
